The drip irrigation system that is now set up on our proto-roof-top-farm is not really efficient.Currently the drops drip directly from joints connecting the pipes, but small vegetable particles clog the orifices. Also it seems the outlets dry out after a while and I need to turn the caps a little so drops flow again.
I’ve been thinking on how to improve the system and a good way of doing so would be to insert perforated plastic lab tubes that would be filled up by a network of pipe.
Now I am probably sure I won’t find such tubes in Kathmandu. I’ll have to figure out something.Ideas and feedback are welcome.
